Policy Work

Our overarching aim at Menstrual Rights Global is to advance global, regional and national policy agendas that recognise menstrual health as a cross-cutting issue linked to health, education, gender equality, human rights, climate resilience and social development.

Through evidence generation, advocacy and strategic engagement, we work to influence policy, financing and accountability frameworks that address the structural barriers affecting menstrual health across the life course and contribute to achieving menstrual justice for all.

The policy briefs were based on  publicly available statements and implementation policies. The team specifically focuses on implementation plans, civil society engagement, consultation of the local community and vulnerable populations (people experiencing homelessness, illicit drug users, the LGBTQIA+ community, asylum seekers, incarcerated people, people who do not speak English as their first language, ethnic minority groups, and people with disabilities).

The purpose of these briefs is to catalyse direct action, and inform high-level menstrual health actors to encourage them to further support, finance, and discussions around menstrual health.
